How effective is underfloor heating?

Research has shown that due to its digital control technology, underfloor heating can greatly reduce your overall energy consumption, making it an affordable and cost-effective luxury.  The digital thermostat and timer system can be set to maintain the room temperature to suit your individual requirements.

With underfloor heating in several rooms, the temperature is controllable room-to-room, providing heat where it’s needed most, making it more efficient and economical.  As it’s a gentle heat source, the warmth stays close to the floor and lower part of the room, rather than rising to the ceiling.

Where can underfloor heating be used?

Underfloor heating is suitable for installation in most buildings; flats, listed properties, new builds and offices, hospitals and nursing homes, warehouses and shops, even large buildings like conference centres and concert halls.  It can be used in any room regardless of its size or shape and is ideal in conservatories, kitchens, bathrooms and loft conversions.  Many flooring materials are compatible with underfloor heating including stone, slate, ceramic tiles, wood, laminate, carpet, and most types of vinyl.

How do I decide which underfloor heating system to have installed?

We offer various types of electric underfloor heating systems.  One of our fully trained engineers will discuss your requirements with you, with a view to providing you with the right systems for your needs.  We will consider the room type and size, plus the final floor covering you have selected to advise you which system is right for you.

We can provide our heating as a main heat source, known as primary heating, where no radiators are required.  We can also provide secondary heat, where radiators are required or are already installed, with our heating fitted as a floor warmer.  We can supply and fit a full range of heaters from 100 to 200 watts per m² appropriate to your heating requirements.
